"Ikaw Ang Pag-Ibig" is Not Ina Feleo's Launching Movie

It isn’t quite correct to say that the “holy” film, “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig,” is Ina Feleo’s launching movie.

The young actress, a Creative Writing graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, earlier starred in “Endo,” which fetched her a Best Actress trophy at a Cinemalaya Film Festival. Ina has won Cinemalaya’s best actress award twice in a row, the second when she played lead actress in “Sanglaan.”

Ina says she is happy being identified with quality films by both established and new directors. Her newest film, “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig,” which is still showing, earned an A-rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

The film, directed by Marilou Diaz Abaya, chronicles how a family’s devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia helped ease the burden of having to heal and nurse back to health a member of the family.

Incidentally, the showing of “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig,” released through Star Cinema, has been timed with the annual celebration last weekend of the Bicolanos’ devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia, who is lovingly addressed throughout the region as Ina.

What a coincidence that the film’s leading lady is also called Ina. “Ikaw ang Pag-ibig” stars Marvin Agustin, Jomari Yllana, Nonie Buencamino and Shamaine Centenera.

“Ikaw ang Pag-ibig” was produced by the Archdiocese of Naga and Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi in cooperation with director Abaya.

Anne Curtis Releases "Annebisyosa" Album

Anne Curtis has released her debut album called “AnneBisyosa”.

Anne Curtis has always fantasized about recording her own album. Now that has become a reality as Viva Artists Agency, Anne’s management, and Viva Records is finally releasing Anne Curtis’ debut album. “AnneBisyosa” will be a realization of one of Anne’s long-time aspirations.

Fans of the actress/model will be pleasantly surprised with what Anne has prepared for them. And the casual listener will be as well as “AnneBisyosa” is quite the pop record that reflects Anne’s fresh and bubbly nature.

Quite the fan of pop music herself, Anne also chooses to remake New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle,” and her edgy pop take on Merril Bainbridge’s “Mouth” to give her listeners a bit more listening flavor.

Switching onto ballads – Anne is all business with her take on a song-belter’s classic with “Alone.” Trust us when we say that when you hear this one you will be converted. And finally, lending star power to Curtis’ own overflowing celebrity is the one and only Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo on an entertaining duet on “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.”

Young JV to Open Westlife Show

Star Magic artist Young JV was chosen to open the much-awaited show of Irish boy band Westlife here next week.

The concert will be held on September 29 (Thursday) at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

Young JV, whose real name is JV Kapunan, said there are two other Filipino acts who will open the show for Westlife.

"Siyempre super honored at saka excited na magpe-perform [ako for] Westlife. Parang they are one of the biggest bands in the world," he told abs-cbnNEWS.com on Tuesday.

Westlife is the group behind the hits "Swear It Again," "Flying Without Wings," "If I Let You Go" and "Unbreakable."

The boy band also became popular for its cover version of "Uptown Girl."

Kapunan, meanwhile, is also part of A-Pop, a boy group featured in ABS-CBN variety show "ASAP Rocks."

Last year, he bagged the Best New Male Recording Artist award at the 23rd Awit Awards for his song "That Girl."

He is currently gearing up for his second album.

Anne Curtis on No Other Woman

Actress Anne Curtis said that she's not afraid of being perceived as a bad girl in real life after she played the role of a mistress in Star Cinema's "No Other Woman."

"Ang dami sigurong mga asawang posibleng magalit sa akin. But sana that just goes to say na effective ang character. Kasi actually sa nangyayari all around it's possible talaga that it can happen," Curtis said.

"Pero malayo sa akin talaga 'yung character," she added.

She admitted that it was a brave thing to do the role contrary to her sweet image.

Curtis stressed that she's just doing a character, and as for the real thing, she will never ever want to be the "other woman."

"No, no, no. Big no-no sa akin ito in real life. I will never allow my self to be the second choice," Curtis said.

In "No Other Woman," Curtis plays the role of Kara Zalderiaga, beautiful-socialite woman. She had many boyfriends but has continuously been emotionally detached to love.

Directed by Ruel S. Bayani, the movie also stars Derek Ramsay who will play the role of Ram Escaler, a dedicated husband to Cristine Reyes' character Charmain Escaler.

"No Other Woman" will hit theaters nationwide on September 28, 2011.

Raffy Tan and Hazel Chua on Biggest Loser Finals

Raffy Tan and Hazel Chua earned slots to the "Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition" grand finale after a competitive weigh-in was held for the last time at the show's camp in Cavite.

 The three other contestants in the Fab 5 -- Art Mendoza, Angela Lupangco and Larry Martin -- will be competing against each other for the last slot in the finals.

 "Hindi lang basta competition ang pinasukan namin. Binago ng 'Biggest Loser' ang mga buhay namin. Nagkaroon kami ng second chance sa life," Chua said during the "Biggest Loser" weigh-in episode, which was aired on ABS-CBN on Tuesday night.

 "Ito lang yata ang weigh-in na napakagaan. Lahat kami isa ang sinasabi eh panalo na kami, hindi lang ito sa pera. Ako personally ang reason ko bakit ako pumasok dito sa camp ay pumayat para magkaroon ng baby. Hindi pa tapos ang journey ko sa camp ay nakuha ko na siya," Lupangco said.

For his part, Martin said, "Ako sobra kong nakuha ang respeto sa sarili ko, tapos ang pagmamahal ko sa sarili ko. Ibang iba na si Larry ngayon."

The show's main host, Sharon Cuneta, turned emotional as she expressed her feelings about "The Biggest Loser" and its contestants.

"Ito ang pagtatapos ng 17 linggo ninyong pananatili sa camp, at 17 na linggo na binigay ng Panginoon sa akin na makasama kayo," she said.

"I just want to say again, itong show na ito ay padala ng Panginoon sa akin at napakalaking karangalan ang ibinigay niyo na makita kayong dahan-dahang lumiliit at tumataas sa pagtayo. Mami-miss ko kayo. Nakadagdag ang bawat isa sa inyo sa pagkatao ko," she added.

Cuneta also vowed to help Martin fulfill his dream of having a church wedding.

"May isa pa akong surprise na galing sa puso ko. Kuya Larry, manalo ka man o hindi, regalo ko na sa misis mo ang kanyang wedding gown na pagagawa ko sa aking kaibigang si Fanny Serrano. Pati ang gagamiting damit ng mga anak mo at ang suot mong damit sa iyong kasal. Dahil alam ko kung gaano kahirap ang magkapamilya sa panahong ito," she told Martin.

After the weigh-in, the Fab 5 were sent home, where they will try to lose more pounds before "The Biggest Loser" grand finale on October 8 at the Ynares Gym in Pasig City.

"Ito ang kahuli-hulihang gabi niyo sa 'Biggest Loser' camp. Bukas will be the start of your brand new lives. Mga idol, my 'Biggest Loser' contestants, my Fab 5, God bless each and every one of you. I'm going to miss you," Cuneta ended.
